Family Sunday

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord,
choose you this day whom ye will serve;
whether the gods which your fathers served
that [were] on the other side of the flood,
or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell:
but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
(Joshua 24:15)

It is our desire and prayer to see our whole family is serving the Lord. This is also what we want to impart to the whole Christ’s Stewards Fellowship Family. I know they are praying for their co-family members who do not have a personal relationship with Him. We keep on praying with the church members for their loved ones salvation every time we held our mid-week services and also during our prayer time.

We carefully planned church activities so that our church members can easily invite their friends and most especially their family members who does not attend our church services. The month of December is a very relevant time to share the Gospel.
We took this opportunity of creating special events that will cater more on family needs. Since November, we decided to have our Family Sunday and we pray that we can continuously held this event every third Sunday of every month. Every church member participated to bring their own food and shared it to the whole group. From that month on, our church members are eager to invite their loved ones to join the Worship Service. We see how God worked that day. A lot of visitors came and we thought that we would run out of food for every one. But just as what had happened during the feeding of the five thousand men, so as God did a miracle during our Lunch Fellowship. Everyone was satisfied and still we have food left. God is really amazing. Besides the food everyone enjoyed the fellowship.

At the end of the event we took pictures of every family. Our church members really wanted to have their whole family present because they wanted to take the opportunity of having a family picture. Most of them do not have a family picture in their homes. They gave their best poses during the pictorial. We gave the printed copy of their pictures as soon as it was developed. We see how excited they were seeing their printed pictures.

This fellowship was followed up having our Christmas Party. Pastor Nong Datuin was invited to share the Word. We created a group to facilitate for the games icebreakers and other stuff. My wife and I are so happy to see that some of our members are stepping up and sees their part in the ministry. We all laugh together, eat and share food, sing songs of praises, pray and thank God for everything and listen to His Words. Truly our fulfillment is to see our co-church members how they grow each and every day most of all see how their spiritual lives prosper. We are so much thankful to meet them in every fellowship. During gatherings and fellowship there we experience brotherly love towards and truly say that we are God’s Family.
