Tonight's Bible Study and Prayer Meeting

Topic: Ang Katapatan ng Diyos sa Kanyang Pangako
Scripture: Lucas 1:5-25
Speaker: Bro. Zander Quitain

Christ Young Stewards Fellowship

Speaker: Pastor Celso Namuco
Romans 14:21-23

"It is good not to eat or drink wine or do anything that causes your brother to stumble. The faith that you have, keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the one who has no reason to pass judgment on himself for what he approves. But whoever has doubts is condemned if he eats, because the eating is not from faith. For whatever does not proceed from faith is sin."

~Paul’s point in Romans 4:20 is that faith glorifies God: “Abraham grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God.” The reason faithless acts are sin is that they don’t glorify God as trustworthy.

~In 1 Corinthians 10:31, Paul said, “Whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” But you can’t glorify God if you are dishonoring him by not trusting him. So where there is no faith, 1 Corinthians 10:31 is being disobeyed in every action (no matter how neutral in itself).

~Hebrews 11:6 says, “Without faith it is impossible to please him.” Therefore, where there is no faith, all acts displease God. "All human ‘virtue’ is depraved if it is not from a heart of love to the heavenly Father — even if the behavior conforms to biblical norms.”

~When virtue is sin.

Romans 14:23 makes plain "that our depravity is a condition in relation to God primarily, and only secondarily in relation to man."

This is the great awakening that needs to happen for people to see the extent of their sin and the greatness of the Savior. Only God sees our hearts.

What questions are we going to ask if we aren't sure if what we are going to do is right?

  1. Will it strengthen my faith?
  2. Will it encourage others?
  3. Will it bring others to Christ?
  4. Will it glorify God in my life?
If you're interested to join, feel free to send us a message.

Men's Fellowship | Philippians 4:6-7

Men's Fellowship

Scripture: Philippians 4:6-7

1. We must put off anxiety which is sin.
(Ang labis na pag-alaala ay kasalanan)

“Be anxious for nothing.” In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus made it clear that anxiety stems from a lack of faith and from a wrong focus on the things of this world instead of on the kingdom of God (Matt. 6:25-34, especially verses 30 & 33). If we excuse our anxieties by saying, “Well, it’s only human,” or, “Anybody would feel anxious in this situation,” we will not overcome it because we are not confronting the root cause of it, namely, our sin of not believing God and of not seeking first His kingdom and righteousness.

2. We must practice prayer with thankfulness about every concern.
( Lubos nating maging kasanayan na manalanging may pagpapasalamat sa ating mga pangangailangan ).

Paul mentions four Greek words for prayer which overlap in meaning and yet are helpful to distinguish: Prayer, supplication, thanksgiving, and requests.

3. We are promised God’s incomparable peace when we pray.
( Tayo ay pinangakuan ng kapayapaan ng Diyos tuwing mananalangin. ).

“The peace of God which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:7). This is not some psychological peace gained through coping techniques. The Christian psychiatrists I mentioned earlier give all sorts of “common sense” and psychological methods (alongside the “spiritual”) that you can use to alleviate your anxiety, including picking a phrase (any phrase will do, they say) and repeating it over and over. This is just thinly disguised Transcendental Meditation!

We have Men's fellowship every Friday at 8PM. If you are a married man/head of the family, you are very much welcome to join. Just send us a message.

Soli Deo Gloria.

CSF Praise&Worship, Tech, and Multimedia Team Meeting

The members of the Praise&Worship team, Tech team, and Multimedia team held a meeting to strengthen CSF's live broadcasting for God's Glory.

This was also done to further the knowledge of each member on the know-how and technicalities of proper equipment care, and the development of page content.

A great reunion with Holguin family in Sariaya, Quezon after 18 years. Kuya Caloy (with Ate Medy) was our Deacon at Emmanuel BC in Mandaluyong, Metro Manila back in early 2000's. They move down South to enjoy a "promdi" life which is ideal in pandemic era. Carlos (far left), their son was our youth leader and one of our worship leaders at EBC. They are my sending Church to Batangas City, now (Christ Stewards Fellowship).
